Welcome to Fashion Bytes, a cheat sheet for your favorite runway designers. From style inspirations to behind-the-scenes scoops, here’s everything worth knowing at New York Fashion Week Spring 2018.

The brand: Victoria Beckham

The history: After launching best-selling denim collections throughout the early 2000s, Victoria Beckham created a full line of clothes in 2008, followed by bags, shoes and eyewear. By 2011, the line was a winner at the British Fashion Awards, and continues to create cool, confident workwear for women around the globe.

The designer: The former Spice Girl is now a full-on fashion icon, with a OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent of the British Empire) for her humanitarian work and her London-based fashion brand. Besides being a style star in her own right, Beckham’s children have also caught the limelight, with Harper, now 6, often appearing on best-dressed lists herself. (Maybe it’s the tiny Gucci boots?)

The show: Beckham’s ingenious color-blocking was on full display, with billowy dresses and lightly draped suits in red-and-pink, purple-and-blue, and black-and-white pairings for maximum graphic effect. The lavender pumps will be a sure hit, along with the glitter versions in teal that Beckham proved really can work for understated grownups.

The f-row: It was the best kind of boy’s club: David Beckham (husband) and Brooklyn Beckham (son) sat alongside British Vogue‘s new editor, Edward Enninful, for the early morning show.

The verdict: With looks like these, you’ll never have a “nothing to wear” morning again. Clear space in your closet and look forward to spring.
