Fall Colors: Burgundy Part One

What’s wings + horns about as a brand generally, and have we always bought burgundy pieces from them?

Basically wings + horns is about a minimal, Japanese-inspired palette, dark and often very military. This is definitely a step out for them, and we’re into it. Our customers have shown us they love wings’ tees, henleys, and just their knits in general–so we’re excited to offer them a new color. They probably already have every other color already because they’re so good!

The sweatpants look cozy. Are they warm to wear? Is this cold-weather clothing? 

Cozy boys for life! These sweatpants are perfect for fall, with a rich charcoal color that keeps them from feeling “gym rat,” and the fabric, which wings calls “cabin fleece,” double-layered so they look and feel more like legit trousers. Highly recommended for the football game to the dog walk. You can even wear them to work if you wear a button-up and clean shoes.

What kind of jacket is that? Is it a standard wings piece? Looks like a baseball jacket mixed with a coaches jacket.

Yeah you can’t really see the collar in that photo, but it’s actually a quilted bomber with these cool heavy metal snaps. It’s also Polartec which ups the insulation and adds water resistance.

I know wings isn’t basic clothing, but it looks simple to the eye.

Yeah it does. But like I mentioned before, they don’t mess around when it comes to finishes like the metal snaps on the bombers. As they say it. “Each garment is designed to balance rugged utility with considered simplicity.” Basic tees are not so basic with a double seam on the shoulders, which makes for a better fit.  That flannel won’t ever see a broken button: wings uses tough, natural-fiber Corozo buttons.
