London Fashion Week street style

Photos by Kristin Yamada

London Fashion Week Spring 2017 is in full swing, and the street style never looked better. Here are a few of our favorite (shoppable!) looks so far from LFW, captured by our gimlet-eyed street-style reporter Kristin Yamada, that we plan on emulating posthaste.

Kate Foley at London Fashion Week Spring 2017

Stylist Kate Foley never turns up to a show looking less than perfect. Her Marni blouse and J.W.Andrewson bag pivot this classic look toward the playful. Paired with sleek pumps and a solid skirt, she shows how to incorporate color, volume, pattern and metallics (a fashion quadfecta) without overwhelming even her petite frame.

Anissa Kermiche at London Fashion Week Spring 2017

Chokers are making a big comeback, again (for the 209 time–we’ve been counting). Chalk it up to the prevalent ’90s influence in fashion right now topped by a strong Victorian renaissance. Parisian jewelry designer Anissa Kermiche is an obvious accessories authority. She’s layered a classic black choker with one of her delicate geometric necklaces. Her floral maxi, leather jacket and Dr. Martins place her clearly in the glam-grunge camp of the style spectrum.

Giovanna Battaglia Englebert at London Fashion Week Spring 2017

Vogue Japan fashion editor and style star Giovanna Battaglia Englebert never shies away from big fashion statement. (Have you seen pictures of her wedding?) Here, she’s assembled an outfit that would work for most offices. Her instinct for confrontational colors and kooky patterns leads to a plush leopard print that’s straight off fall 2016’s runway. And her statement collar lends a kittenish wink to this sophisticated cat lady look.

Chioma Nnadi at London Fashion Week Spring 2017

Vogue editor Chioma Nnadi takes a chill but chic approach to London dressing. Wearing two of the season’s big trends, a statement military jacket and striped button-down, Chioma’s pattern clashing nevertheless makes us stand at attention. Red patent boots add an expected element of fun that make us want to salut her seemingly effortless style yet again.
