Alice + Olivia: Tough Girl Embroidery You Can Wear Right Now (Or At Least Really Soon)

If Fashion Week timelines make you crazy and the idea of waiting until February for the dress you’re seeing all over your Instagram feed feels like a form of torture, get ready for an antidote. We worked with Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet to get you a handful of key see-now, wear-now looks from Tuesday’s presentation.

Stacey’s into embroidery right now—it’s an extension of the collection’s overall inspiration, which came from fairy tales and elaborate gardens, specifically a place in Italy called Bomarzo. Oh, and rainbows. But these covetable, ready-right-now looks are all about the kind of statement-making girl who’s tough enough for all that, and a black leather jumpsuit (above, left).

Embroidery and other embellishments showed up all over the collection, but you’ll have to make it through fall and winter for the rest of these wide-legged trousers, party onesies, maxi skirts, artisan tops and sunglasses (a new category for Stacey and her team). Patience is a virtue though, isn’t it?

We found out that whenever those faces (on the handbag and the green top) pop up in Alice + Olivia collections,
the team refers to them as “Stace Faces”

And hey, check it out (below): style icons and DJs Mia Moretti and Margot—collectively known as The Dolls. We met those two several seasons ago when we were all backstage at Alice + Olivia. They were ready to spin tunes, we were ready to hear them.
