Party Report: Jeffrey Fashion Cares at Art Beam in New York

Fashion loves a good cause—and a good runway show! Industry insiders flocked to Art Beam in Chelsea on April 6 to put up some coins for a good cause: this year’s Jeffrey Fashion Cares bash.

On behalf of Jeffrey Kalinsky, Nordstrom’s EVP of Designer, Zachary Quinto hosted a raucous live auction and men’s fashion show following a cocktail reception/silent auction. The auctions featured some pretty hot ticket items, including invitations to Elton John’s Oscar viewing party and a Paris Fashion Week package that includes front row tickets Dries Van Noten and Lanvin’s shows.

The runway show sampled from thirteen of the best in the business: Dries Van Noten, Lanvin, Raf, Baja East, Bobby Abley, Christopher Kane, Valentino, Loewe, Haider Ackermann, Ashish, Christopher Shannon, Saint Laurent, and Givenchy all lent menswear threads to the catwalk to help raise funds.

Who was there? Everyone was there—including Prabal Gurung, Narciso Rodriguez, Joseph Altuzarra, Carole Radziwill and Anna Wintour. Now in its twelfth year, the Jeffrey Fashion Cares team has raised over $5 million dollars for non-profits and charity organizations benefitting the LGBT community.
