We finish our London Fashion Week coverage with a glittery bang. ASHISH—known to keep the party going with high-gloss sequins, throwback flair and ever-clever pop-culture iconography—certainly did not disappoint yesterday.
A veritable rainbow of candy-colored hues sweetened the bevy of short, mod-inspired shift dresses that flitted down the runway.
This slithering, two-piece tracksuit perfectly summed up designer Ashish Gupta’s signature move: sporty, retro-chic vibes finished with a mega-watt punch.
Wispy poufs floating atop metallic platform slippers evoked the lush extravagance of ’70s boudoir charm, effectively counter-balancing some of the designer’s more boyish pieces.
Not one to forget cocktail attire that keeps you going well past last call, Gupta included a number of slinky silhouettes in his SS15 collection, paying luminous homage to sultry, vintage-inspired glam.
Rhetorical question: who doesn’t need a sweater-shrine devoted to the pop-culture institution that is Kimye? Anwer: no one.
The stunning Chantelle Brown-Young, all aglitter, helps us bid a darling adieu to London Fashion Week.
