One shoe that truly goes with everything: the white designer sneaker. You cannot go wrong. Wear a pair to work, wear them casually or even on date night. It’s hard to think of another piece that’s so versatile. Let them get dirty if that’s your style. Or keep them spotless. Seriously: white designer sneakers are foolproof.
Just in time for your summer wardrobe update, check out these four options by Saint Laurent, Common Projects, Maison Margiela and adidas by Raf Simons.

Common Projects sneakers are available in a million colors—but white is the classic color of the Achilles, CP’s name-making and still best-known silhouette.

Footwear-wise, Margiela is known for reinterpreting German army trainers. This is a twist on that idea, which recalls the classic design of the adidas Samba, and in general the sleek sportiness of an indoor soccer shoe.
SHOP: Maison Margiela in Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego, Aventura and Costa Mesa
The embellishments that Belgian designer Raf Simons makes to adidas shoes are sometimes drastic and other times, like with these Stan Smiths, subtle. These sneakers show Simons’s cheekiness and characteristic flair as a designer (three straps instead of three stripes; the printing on the footbed is the same font as his namesake line), while retaining the blank canvas appeal of the Stan Smith.
