This layering style is about showcasing the print of the tee. We’re doing that here by layering two shirts, and essentially thinking about the overshirt almost like a jacket, leaving it unbuttoned so the bottom layer comes through. It’s a cool print; you want people to see it. In this case I chose an extremely busy print, so the shorts and shirt are relatively plain to balance that out. Balance is a key concept in styling. You don’t want to be visually overwhelming.
