It’s official! Iconic American designer Carolina Herrera collaborated with Nordstrom VP Fashion Director Jeffrey Kalinsky on a collection as fun as it is fancy—fit for four seasons of soirees, Saturday night dates and Sunday brunches. In a WWD article for subscribers only, Herrera—who’s known for the kinds of dreamy dresses and gala gowns that put celebs on best-dressed lists (see below, from last year’s New York Fashion Week)—said the collection was designed to be chic and striking, with silhouette options in silk faille for women to make the look their own.

“I have always loved a polka dot motif, it was in my very first collection,” Herrera recalled. For his part, Kalinsky said he’d been wanting to team up with the venerated designer for awhile, and so one day he simply picked up the phone and made it happen. You can walk into Jeffrey New York when the collection is released on February 8 and make it happen, too.
