Welcome to Fashion Bytes, a cheat sheet for your favorite runway designers. From style inspirations to behind-the-scenes scoops, here’s everything worth knowing at London Fashion Week Spring 2018.

The brand: Topshop

The history: One of the first “fast fashion” chains in the world, Topshop was born as a youth culture boutique in the 1960s. (It was one of the first stores to stock Mary Quant’s famous miniskirts.) Their cool, affordable riffs on runway style captivated famous shoppers like the Spice Girls in the ’90s, and in 2002, they started sponsoring young designers for their first London Fashion Week shows. Ten years ago, Topshop launched their first capsule collection with Kate Moss; they’ve since collaborated with Kate Bosworth, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and even Beyoncé.

The designer: London fashion fixture Kate Phelan also works at Vogue UK, and has styled everyone from Zoe Kravitz to Victoria Beckham, and of course, Ms. Moss herself.

The show: Inspired by London nightclubs of the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s, the collection was heavy on flashy fashion like red metallic miniskirts, low-cut bedazzled dresses, and a few marabou feather numbers that were half Studio 54, half Vegas showgirl. Music from New Order blasted through the speakers, and guests were served ice-cold champagne before taking their seats. Major models like Joan Smalls and Hailey Baldwin ruled the catwalk, and even though it was barely 4 pm, it felt more like an exclusive nightclub than a daytime collection debut.

The f-row: Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace, now 14, sat front row center. Other familiar faces: Olivia Palermo, Charlie XCX and singer Ella Eyre.

The verdict: When these party girl staples hit Nordstrom.com today, they’ll sell out fast. Be ready to get what you want; pick your favorites now.
