In conjunction with Pop-In@Nordstrom: Faded – our Olivia Kim-curated shop running now through November 13 – we present this rough bandana guide. There are a million and one ways to wear a bandana. Here are five.
The Neckerchief.
Fold the bandana into a triangle and simply knot it around the neck in the back (the way the guy above is wearing it). The techniques here are to either tie it close to your neck or leave the bandana looser so it hits further down your chest. Your call. Depends on how large you want the triangle to be.

Neat & Tidy.
Roll the bandana into a small, tube-like shape or fold it flat, by two-to-three-inch increments. Tie this long, narrow bandana around your collar with a simple knot in the front. Option B: tie it above your collar cocked a little to the side.
Wristband(ana).
Fold the bandana in two-to-three-inch increments, wrap it around your wrist and tie it in a small knot. Ideally the knot should face outward and slightly forward, like the face of a wristwatch.
Bandana Pocket Square.
Starting with the bandana laid open like a diamond, fold the bottom corner up to the top corner, then fold the left and right corners inward so they overlap. Now put it in your pocket. If it’s too big, create a smaller bandana by first folding the whole thing in half length- and width-wise.
Headband.
Fold the bandana flat in two-to-three inch increments, wrap it around your forehead and knot it in the front. This also looks good with the knot pushed to the side.
