When we heard about this month’s Pop-In@Nordstrom, for which Olivia Kim curated a mix of exciting and super-fun tech gear, we had this idea about worlds colliding in the very best way. Wouldn’t it be cool, we thought, if we shared the shop’s Snap Touch Polaroid cameras—which double as printers—with some of our SPACE designers and told them to go out and document their worlds?
Owing to these rad new cameras and our visionary friends, we think the results are very cool indeed.

“My first love at 15 was photography; I used to spend hours on the streets and then in my darkroom. Like the old days, my approach with this Polaroid was very spontaneous. Every time I had a strong ‘eye grip’ on something, I would Snap Touch it. It was an innocent and sweet way of working. I haven’t done that for a while.”

“I was visiting New York City for work and I took these pictures while I was there. They mostly depict my mood and what I saw.”

“I photographed our design process. The collection always starts with an idea and lots of research. I then brief my team on the direction for the season, and we all accumulate our ideas and thoughts together to find the perfect way to develop it. Then drawings and draping happen simultaneously to explore the ideas. It’s very organic and constantly changing. It rarely stops evolving until the very last moment!”
