There are plenty of people whose style makes us swoon, but winning an award for your fashion prowess? That takes a special kind of sartorial magic. So it’s no surprise to us that Sarah Jessica Parker will receive the first-ever Honorary Image Award tonight at the CLIO Image Awards.
The talented actress, widely known for her portrayal of fashion-devotee Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, has won more than a few awards in the past (four Golden Globes, three SAG Awards and two Emmys—not that we’re counting). But this time she’s being honored for her creative contributions to the fashion and beauty industries—including her fragrances Lovely and Covet, and her recently launched Nordstrom-exclusive line of shoes and handbags: SJP Collection.
We spoke with the always-gracious Sarah Jessica to get her thoughts on being presented with this special award.
“I of course am honored to be receiving anything honorary, and there are many inspiring women—among them Pat Field—who I feel have been an enormous influence on me, so I share it with all the wonderfully creative and inspiring people who I’ve had the great pleasure of working for and with over the years.”
