If anyone can spot the best looks at Fashion Week it’s our gimlet-eyed street photographer Crystal Nicodemus. Here are a few of her favorite fashion ladies, plus their Instagram handles so you can continue to follow their stellar style.
Alana Zimmer @zimzimzimmer
Models make everything look chic and easy. Alana is no exception. She looks effortlessly cool in casual, textural separates. Her two-tone jeans are the perfect crop and relaxed cut. Corduroy continues to be a popular textile, and Alana’s duster coat is covetable. This is a wearable and cozy look for a gloomy winter’s day.
Annabel Rosendahl @annabelrosendahl
I must have this coat! It’s so current and cool. High shine, patent textures are everywhere, and it’s great to see such a unique spin on a heritage pattern. Normcore neutrals really let this hero piece shine.
Camille Charrière @camillecharriere and Caroline Daur @carodaur
Blogging buds Camille and Caro are embracing the resurgence of leather luxury, but adding a modern, sporty edge. I never expected to need a leather jumpsuit in my life, but Camille has fully convinced me. Red boots are the season’s must have, and they add a great burst of color to any look. Caro’s motocross-inspired look is spot on trend. Yellow is a strong color for the season.
Chloe Hill @chloechill
Chloe is a master of print mixing. She keeps her palette monochromatic, while embracing bold patterns. I love her mix of textures, as well. You can still wear a summer dress in winter, just layer it over pants and a chic turtleneck. A colorful tote adds a burst of blue, and metallic mules hint at spring.
Chrissy Rutherford @chrissyford
As you all know, I love a jumpsuit. Chrissy’s utility-inspired one piece is just right. The cropped, raw edge hem pairs perfectly with trendy patent leather booties. Puffer coats are a must have this season, especially when styled off the shoulders. An animal print turtleneck adds a subtle touch of pattern and extra protection from the elements.
Ece Sukan @ecesukan
Ece may be in black, but she still knows how to stand out in a crowd. Layered leather coats and bold studded elements feel very punk chic. High-shine patent pants are one of the season’s hottest pieces. An embellished Gucci belt bag is another must have, along with snakeskin boots. I love how Ece works all the trends, but still maintains a unique personal style.
Irene Kim @ireneisgood
Irene is channeling New York City with this taxi-inspired ensemble. Yellow is a hot hue at Fashion Week, as Irene is ably demonstrating. Menswear themes abound, as well, and this subtle pattern mix is a master class. Clean, white sneakers continue to dominate the footwear scene.
Jan-Michael Quammie @jan.quammie
Jan-Michael is one of street style’s most interesting stars. She has incredible personal style, and is not afraid to experiment with trends and proportion. The luxe utility jacket is ultra-popular right now, and is an unexpected pairing with plaid and modern western boots.
Kim Jones @kimcamjones
Now that is one way to handle a rainy day at Fashion Week! Kim looks stunning and sexy, despite the abysmal weather. Her patent, belted rain coat is gorgeous and a total statement piece, even in a neutral color. Sock booties are everywhere this season, and Kim’s purple pair are stand outs.
Rebecca Laurey @rebeccalaurey
Suiting continues to dominate the street-style scene. Rebecca’s slim menswear suit is chic and modern. A stylized puffer is an unexpected and seasonal pairing. A classic clutch, with a bold color stripe, and modern snakeskin mules add some city flair.
