Your special events just got a lot more special. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Evening offerings within our Designer Collections both online and at our Bellevue, Chicago, Tyson’s Corner, and Vancouver stores. With decadent and gorgeous offerings from designers such as Carolina Herrera, Jason Wu, Reem Acra, and Jenny Packham, whose crimson stunner is pictured here, we’re now perfectly positioned to dress you for black-tie dinners and fine occasions.
And oh, the world of black ties and special events. The romance, the style, the Champagne! We polled two of our featured designers to get their take on those special, and specially dressed, moments.

Your approach to evening style in three words:
This season: Old Hollywood glamour.
The best special event restaurant or ballroom in the entire world:
The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London and Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant—dinner is fabulous and the hotel is also home to London’s only sprung dance floor where Queen Elizabeth II learned to ballroom dance with her sister Princess Margaret. The hotel has the most beautiful view of Hyde Park.
Name a style icon (living or deceased, real or fictional) who best epitomizes your current evening couture collection:
The fall 2015 RTW collection is inspired by the artwork of the Spanish greats—in particular, a lesser-known 19th century artist Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta. The collection itself is rich in color and texture, and one of my favorite pieces is a midnight-blue, full-length, silk-organza gown with a crystal-and-pearl embellished bodice.
The best way to accessorize my evening couture dresses:
I firmly believe the accessories should complement the gown rather than compete with it.

I have many. One of the many icons I love is Raquel Welch, she was a sensation! She could act, sing, dance and look gorgeous doing it all.

A day resting at home with my dogs and partner, followed by an evening of cooking for friends and family.
The best cuisine type for a black-tie event:

Empowering.
